Meet The Team

STEVE REANEY, Director

A Chartered Accountant since 1975 with over 40 years experience in the industry, Steve aims to create wealth for all his clients by helping to develop and achieve business goals and targets.

Steve has many community interests outside of Gardiner Reaney Ltd which include Napier City Rovers, he was a previous board member of Hawke’s Bay Rugby Union and is a trustee of the Hawke’s Bay Air Ambulance Trust.

Steve has many interests outside of the office which include golf, skiing, rugby, cricket, football, fly fishing, cigars and a fine wine.

GRAHAM PEDLER, Consultant

For nearly four decades Graham has provided both accountancy and business advisory services to a wide range of Gardiner Reaney Ltd’s clients, many of whom remain with the firm today.
Graham’s leadership and experience has helped clients achieve their goals and aspirations. His ability to help businesses, both small and Large grow has ensured the success of both client business and Gardiner Reaney Ltd for many years.

Graham is a car enthusiast and in his spare time indulges in his passion and participates in many car rally races. He and his wife often spend time out in their beach house in Waimarama and enjoy the company of their family and grandchildren.

RACHAEL KROOT, Associate Chartered Accountant, BBS

Please note: Rachael is on maternity leave until 2017.

Rachael began her accountancy career in 2003 and has since attained a Bachelor of Business Studies majoring in Accounting, and an NZ Diploma in Business. Rachael’s experience over the years has enabled her to work with a wide range of diverse clients, Rachael is one of our experienced Overseas Investment specialists.

Rachael’s interests include renovating, cooking and travelling.

NICOLE TAANE, Accountant, BBS

Please note Nicole is on maternity leave until 2017.

Nicole has over 9 years experience in the accounting industry and joined Gardiner Reaney Ltd in 2009. Nicole has completed her Bachelor of Business Studies majoring in Accounting and is looking to pursue a career as a Chartered Accountant in the near future.

Nicole’s experience has enabled her to work amongst a wide variety of industries and diverse clients and is one of our experienced tax and working for families’ specialists.

When Nicole is not studying she is a netball coach of a development team for Clive Rugby & Sports Inc. When not training or playing for her club Nicole lives in Napier with her husband and both are enthusiastic pet owners of two lovely dogs.

LAURA WALKER, Accountant

Laura joined Gardiner Reaney Ltd in 2009 as a Junior Office Administrator and has progressively proven her wealth of knowledge in the accounting industry which has seen her move into an accounting role.Laura is also our Banklink and PAYE expert at Gardiner Reaney Ltd and provides ongoing support to our clients both on and offsite. Laura’s broad knowledge within our office, both administration and financial, allows her to support clients in all aspects of their business.

Laura is a very talented artist and in her spare time likes to paint. She is also a very enthusiastic animal Lover and often spends time walking her dog, Blue.

SANDY TITTER, Director

A Chartered Accountant since 1998, Sandy has over 26 years of extensive accounting experience.

Sandy’s experience and successes have recently seen her appointed as a Director of the firm alongside Steve Reaney. Sandy aims to help clients by providing forward and succession planning. Sandy is a hands on Director who likes to help her clients achieve their goals by being a part of the experience.

Sandy has many community services outside of Gardiner Reaney Ltd which include; Deputy Chair of the Sport Hawke’s Bay Board and a committee member of the Hawkes Bay Wine Auction.

Sandy’s interests include; fishing, rugby, netball, spending time with family, cooking and wine.

SEAN GRANT, Associate Chartered Accountant, BBS

Sean has experience in both banking and finance and has been a team member at Gardiner Reaney Ltd for over 14 years. He offers extensive IT knowledge both within and outside of this office and his diverse range of expertise has led to many success stories with his clients. Sean is currently an Associate Chartered Accountant, working towards his full Chartered Accountancy qualifications and Looks forward to putting his professional experience to good use.

He has been involved in many sports over the years and as a family man of 3 now enjoys supporting his children and their many sporting activities.

TALIA SMITH, Accounting Software Advisor, ACA

Talia has over 14 years experience in the accounting industry and joined Gardiner Reaney Ltd in 2005. Whilst here she has gained a NZ Diploma in Business and successfully become an Associate Chartered Accountant. Talia’s experience extends into the IT software department which she sets up and trains our clients both on and offsite.

Talia lives in Napier with her husband and their two young daughters. She is a very keen netball player and when possible, plays Saturday netball for her club – Marist.

YVONNE COTTER, Executive Secretary

Yvonne has successfully worked in the accounting industry for many years. Yvonne has many skills which she contributes to Gardiner Reaney Ltd including reception work, personal secretary, GST, Companies Office details etc. Yvonne is the heart and face of our office and her relationship with many of our clients expands over many years.

Yvonne enjoys cycling, walking and gardening. She is a passionate All Blacks and Magpie supporter and attends many games. Yvonne and her husband both enjoy spending quality time with their family and grandchildren and also their spoilt dog Benji.

CHANTAL WESTMAN, Office Administrator

Chantal joined Gardiner Reaney Ltd in 2015. Her responsibilities within the firm include invoicing, debtor management, creditors, rental management and overseeing the smooth operations of the administration in our office.

Chantal enjoys spending time with her family and is a keen supporter of the Silver Ferns.

REBECCA HILL, Administration Assistant

Rebecca keeps the wheels in the office in motion and ensures that all client manager needs are being met. As a vital role in our office Rebecca enforces all manager needs which enables them to attend to their clients.

Rebecca enjoys spending time with her family and enjoys playing netball.
